Michelle Mc Mahon of Ammado UK leads this session.

Using web 2.0 to effect change, mobilise and educate people and tell real, engaging and accessible stories is becoming increasingly popular. Established by two social entrepreneurs, ammado has built a global community connecting nonprofits, socially responsible organisations and engaged individuals in an interactive and unique environment. This session introduces it as a tool and explores the stories of its use. 

Objectives

Exploration of social media as a means to increase public awareness, engage supporters and volunteers, build organizational capacity for nonprofts. 
Case studies of individuals and nonprofits instigating social change.
The potential of such technologies to inspire commitment and support to society and societal change.
