Description

Vishal Talreja is the Co-founder and Director of Dream A Dream. As Director, he is involved in the vision achievement, strategic direction and day-to-day management of Dream A Dream. He handles multiple tasks such as financial management, programme planning, strategy, relationship management and fundraising.  He couples this with motivating and managing the management team at Dream A Dream.
Viahal is an Ashoka / AIF Fellow (http://www.ashoka.org) and also a trainer on fundraising strategies, NGO Management, Governance, Board Engagement and managing Conflict of Interest. A B.com graduate from Bangalore, Vishal has 3 years of corporate experience having worked with Xerox and Technology Holdings Pvt. Ltd. and has been part of Dream A Dream since inception. Vishal aims to build benchmarks for transparency, accontability and credibility at Dream A Dream.
In 2006, Vishal was represented Dream A Dream on a International Visitor Leadership Programme sponsored by the United States Department of State. Vishal represented Dream A Dream as an “Architect of the Future” at the Waldzell - Global Dialog on Inspiration in Vienna, Austria in 2006 and 2007. 12 young people from across the world are selected annually for this conference. facilitated by the likes of Paulo Coelho and Isabel Allende. http://www.waldzell.org

Objectives

An open discussion on how NGOs / Charities can effectively utilize volunteers and make them an integral stakeholder in the process.

Hopefully, an understanding of success / challenges with volunteering and a shift in attitude towards volunteering for long-term sustainable change.
