Description

We need a new sense of local and national identity and belonging to build our social capital. And, where there is a need, there is an opportunity for social entrepreneurs…

There has been a serious decline in social capital: our levels of trust, shared identity, and participation in civil society. Satisfying these fundamental needs of: ‘participation’ and ‘identity’ is essential for personal well-being and societal sustainability.

Given that, we can guess
a) that where there is a need there is a ‘market’
b) that we will need to innovate to create more just and sustainable means of creating identity
c) that understanding these fundamental drivers and trends can help you be more effective as a social entrepreneur, and
d) that knowing what makes people tick at the emotional and affective levels can help you market products and services wink
